第一次看，我被里面的人物、故事情节所吸引。第二次看，我才真正地认识了这本书，发现我能从里面懂得一些道理。比如：遇到困难不要退缩，坚持即使胜利；团结就是力量等等。最让我受益匪浅的道理是人要学会感恩，书中有很多感恩的'事例，如：当年孙悟空被压在五行山下，唐僧救了它，孙悟空为了报答唐僧，护送他去取得真经。孙悟空一路上对唐僧不离不弃，虽说有几次发生矛盾，但他始终对唐宋忠心耿耿；唐僧感激唐王李世民，所以唐王问谁愿去西天取得真经时，唐僧立马挺身而出，在如来佛祖面前发誓不取得真经誓不罢休。

《西游记》这本书中的主人公也很有趣。唐僧的性格沉着冷静；猪八戒好吃懒做、性格善良；孙悟空神通广大，乐于助人；沙和尚关键时刻挺身而出，总是保护师傅。总而言之，四个人都有长处和短处。俗话说：三人行，必有我师焉。我们要努力学习他们的长处，对于短处则要吸取教训。书中的许多困难一人是解决不了的，必须要几人一起合作才能解决。书中给我最重要的启示是：取经途中老乌龟护送唐僧四人越过无法通过的一条河，仅仅是希望唐僧能够问佛祖它的年寿之事。唐僧四人因只顾取得真经把这事给忘了，老龟很生气，一气之下将经书扔下了河……这就是忘恩负义的后果。
